Final Retrieve
To Loyalty: He accepted me exactly as I am.
To Patience: He would quietly wait and watch for my moods to pass.
To Forgiveness: One word, a crack of a smile, and he was back at my side again.
To Friendship: He was always there when I needed him.
To Humor: He filled my belly and my day with laughter.
To Love: He loved me unconditionally; very much I suppose like Your love for mankind.
Now that his big heart has beat its last, I want to thank You, Lord for blessing this man with this dog's life.
On Jan 4th, 2007, Brody passed away in the early AM of a natural cause. He was just over 10. He is so deeply missed in our family. I want to thank all of my friends who hunted with me and Brody and for all the phone calls, it has been something. Brody was a great dog with a long list of work he has done for me. He has basically founded and made me what I am today with his love to retrieve. Brody has not breed in the past 3 years; however, he did just recently with Coot, my black female. The pups were born on Jan 3rd in the early AM; the before Brody left us. There were five chocolate females, two black females, and two chocolate males really like in color like him. Many of my friends and family believe Brody did this for me. I want to believe it too, so we are keeping all of them. He had the most drive and work ethic of any dog in 22 years that I have seen, so his legend will love on until I am done with labs and I go hunt with Brody again. I guess after the litter was born, God needed a new Bird Dog and he choose Brody to be by his side; I can't blame him. So for now I am committed to my new dog from him and he is Norman (Puddle Ducks Norman Bates). That was Brody's nickname from the movie and with all the drive, he was a crazy boy. One day, I will hunt again with Brody and get another retrieve, for now I miss my Buddy.

You will always be remembered "Most loving friend and companion
we could of asked for"

in tough times and lonely times, I'll remember you forever!

Brandy has gone to catch up with Mom. She passed away at 2:10am this
morning. After fourteen years of faithful service she has decided it
was time that she returned to where she belonged, with Mom. We will
miss her.

Willow was such a big part of our lives. My kids have spent their entire lives with her. They loved playing outside with her and spent many of nights curled up with her to watch movies in the living room. She went on every vacation with us. I don't know what she enjoyed more, hunting in the fields with us or spending her hot Texas summer days jumping off the dock at the lake house. She was a pure joy to have as a hunting partner and a friend. We could not have ask for a better friend to be a part of our family. She will be truly missed. I am including a few pictures of her for you to see how she spent most of her days.
"We will miss you forever the Workman Family" !

"Memories made and never forgotten God Bless our labs"
