Hey Doug – I thought I’d send you some action shots of Addie. Check out the “launching” photo. That was a really lucky shot on my part! She’s doing beautifully although she does have a mind of her own. That makes for some interesting “discussions” at times. She’s incredibly well socialized. She comes to the University of Florida with me and is my teaching assistant. She is also my co-therapist so she’s real used to people. She and her brother, Pete (the Mentz’s dog) are hysterical together. When they get together it’s almost like they’ve never been apart. Although, Addie is much more adept in the water already! J Enjoy and thanks so much for a fabulous companion and pet! Lesley Hull Hey Doug – This is Lesley Hull from Jacksonville. We got one of the females from the April 16th litter from Nila and Tuff. You sure do breed ‘em tough, Doug. So far, Addie has been close to being attacked by an alligator and she got struck by a Copperhead as near as we can tell. I know that makes us sound like awful parents but those incidents have always been under our supervision (hence the “almost” in the alligator attack). We also have a lake house which is full of dangerous but really fun puppy stuff. The upshot is that we didn’t even know she had been struck by the snake. She showed absolutely no signs of slowing down or even being uncomfortable. It was discovered almost by accident. She has also been on a number of boats and loves every one of them. She just naturally moves about. She’s been introduced to gunfire and you would have thought she was listening to someone sneeze. She is very laid back but all puppy personality at the same time. She loves other dogs and people too. I will tell you she is absolutely the best dog I have ever had. She’s a great sport, has trained well, is highly socialized, is absolutely beautiful and is one of the most athletic animals I have ever seen. She is so incredible when she runs. It’s amazing. She’s also very funny. I don’t know if that’s part of your breeding regimen but our girl has some personality! Thanks again.
