After 25 years and running dogs over 30 years a good trainer knows that all dogs do not learn at the same pace.We are wanting all of the dogs to look the same when done or ready to hunt.Some dogs need more encouraging praise and some are just plain wide open.Either way we train here with alot of love and affection and we do not abuse any dog that is here being trained.When you are hard or cruel to a dog all it does is shut down.We want the dog to be successful and enjoy his life hunting birds and live for it.Nothing beats a bird dog who loves to hunt and is happy.We also introduce the dog to E-collars but we do it so that they are a positive not a negative and the dog associates it to working and hunting birds so they are condition to the collar properly.
Obedience only : Any breed $500 per month
Training fees are $500 For Retrievers mainly labs .(Vet Bills,Live Birds and Shells addt'l fees to owner) Once a month heartworm and Quality high fat food provided in fees.Kennel cleaned and soaped twice a day and fresh flowing water licking nipples.
Duck and Dove Dog Started dog training:
Usually 4 to 6 months of training.We will work on land and water in all types of decoys and blind setups and have the dog hunting and fully obedient and ready to start take hunting.The dog will also be whistle trained to sit and return to heel.We usually can go into Upland hunting as well if requested.
Upland hunting Quater whistle Flush work :
Usually takes around 4 to 5 months same as above but live birds are a must and alot of cripple birds will be used.
The success of any customer or one who gets his dog trained is a trainer who will follow up and offer a way for the client to continue running his dog in front of the trainer til the customer feels he understands his trained dog.Their is no way a customer can learn to run his dog in one one hour visit on the go home day of his trained dog and the customer must make attempts to work with the trainer to smooth that transistion. That is why we run trials in our kennel when most kennels dont offer this is to give our clients a way to continue learning and running their dog so when hunting season comes they are ready and happy to hunt with their new buddy!
